We are pleased to invite students to an engaging workshop session led by Prof. Mohammed Al-Hashel. The session will explore timely and critical topics in economic policy with an emphasis on real-world applications and student engagement.
About the Speaker
Prof. Mohammed Al-Hashel is a distinguished figure in finance and economics. He served for two decades at the Central Bank of Kuwait, culminating in his role as Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2022. During his tenure, he was recognized by leading global institutions for effectively managing economic crises, implementing monetary policy, and safeguarding financial stability.
He holds a Ph.D. in Finance, an MA in Economics, an MBA, and a BS in Computer Engineering. Currently, he is a Professor of Finance at Qatar University and a Senior Advisor at McKinsey, working to promote global financial, monetary, and fiscal stability through collaboration with central banks, international organizations, academia, and the private sector.
